A set of 8 mahogany chairs, 6 single and 2 arm chairs with slip in seats. Finally a George III style serpentine fronted sideboard, all satinwood crossbanded. Excellent condition, colour and qaulity! Victorian Mahogany Serpentine Sideboard / Side Table ca 1890 This beautiful Victorian mahogany serpentine sideboard / side table has a serpentine top above a central drawer and a shaped kneehole. One side has a deep drawer and the other a cupboard, all having original brass pull handles, key and working locks. The piece stands on four tapering legs with spade feet and all edges have boxwood and ebony string inlay. The cupboard door has a slight shrinkage crack, the backboards are original, the piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Heavily Carved Dark Oak Sideboard or Table

This is a Jacobean revival heavily carved dark oak table with two drawers and carved gallery. The scrolled gallery depicts a girl's head and the front of the table has three stylised heads, the drawer handles being in the style of the Green Man so that you put your fingers in his mouth to open a drawer. It is a very interesting table with a lot of detail, which could also be used as a small sideboard. There is a 1mm gap on the table top where two pieces of wood join towards one side. W 42", D 18", Table H 29", Overall H 39.5"
