VICTORIAN OAK DINING TABLE AND CHAIRS

VICTORIAN OAK CARVED TABLE AND SIX OAK CHAIRS. THE TABLE STANDS ON HEAVY TURNED LEGS TERMINATING ON CASTERS. THERE IS ALSO GADROONED CARVING ALL THE WAY AROUND THE EDGE OF THE TABLE. THIS IS SOLID OAK AND IT IS IN SUPER CONDITION. THE SIZE IS APPROX 66"X47".THE CHAIRS ARE OAK FRAMED IN THE 17TH CENTURY STYLE BUT THEY ARE 19TH CENTURY. THE FRONT LEGS BEING TURNED, THERE ARE TWO STRETCHERS TO EACH SIDE TOGETHER WITH A BACK STRETCHER, THEY ALSO HAVE A BOBBIN FRONT STRETCHER. ALL JOINTS ARE SOUND. THEY HAVE BEEN NEWLY UPHOLSTERED IN A RICH BROWN AND CREAM STRIPED VELOUR TYPE OF FABRIC.

Antique Oak Extending Dining Table

Large Antique Oak Dining Table Description Offered for sale is this superb quality very large Victorian oak telescopic extending dining table that will seat 18 - 20 people. The table extends from 71" x 59" to 187" x 59" with six leaves, all original. The six leaves range in size from 18" to 20.3" making the table extremely versatile, the leaves can be stored in a separate leaf cabinet. The shaped top has a figured grain with a double lipped moulded edge with rounded ends and stands on turned, carved and fluted supports with original brass castors and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism has double runners, works very well , is very stable and comes complete with original handle, there is a fifth leg which screws in under the centre of the table but the design and quality of the table means that it is very stable even without the leg fitted. This good quality large antique Victorian oak extending dining table dates to about 1860 and is in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character.

Antique Oak Extending Dining Table

Offered for sale is this good Edwardian Arts & Crafts oak dining table measuring 68" x 48" extending to 118" x 48" with three leaves, all original. The rectangular top has a moulded edge with canted corners and stands on square tapered supports with splay feet and original brass and ceramic castors. The table is in excellent showroom condition having been sympathetically repolished and the extending mechanism, complete with original handle works very smoothly. This antique Edwardian oak arts & crafts dining table is a lovely mellow light golden oak colour and dates to about 1910.

The rectangular top has a moulded edge with rounded corners above bobbin turned supports with brass and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism is the standard Joseph Fitter patented system and works very smoothly and comes complete with original handle. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1900..
