A top quality solid oak refectory dining table with a matching set of eight windsor chairs including two armchairs. A superb dining set made around 40 years ago and very faithful to the antique style at a fraction of the equivalent new price. The table is a generous eight seater - 92" long and 42" wide.

A REPRODUCTION MAHOGANY OVAL EXTENDING DINING TABLE, WITH A LEAF, TOGETHER WITH FOUR MATCHING CHAIRS INCLUDING TWO CARVERS. THE TABLE STANDS ON SHAPED IN AND OUTSWEPT LEGS, THE FRIEZE APRON IS ALSO SHAPED. THE TOP OF THE TABLE IS CROSS PATTERNED. THE CHAIRS CARRY THE SAME STYLE OF LEG AND THE SPLAT BACKS BEING PATTERNED. THE CHAIRS ARE UPHOLSTERED IN A BEIGE COTTON FABRIC WITH A TINY FLOWER DESIGN INCORPERATING A SMALL DOT OF GREEN AND DEEPER BEIGE.THE SIZE CLOSED IS APPROX 64"LONG, 43"DEEP, 30"HIGH. THE LEAF IS 15", GIVING AN EXTENED LENGTH OF 79". THE TABLE AND CHAIRS ARE IN EXCELLANT CONDITION. VERY REASONABLE TRANSPORT COSTS CAN BE ARRANGED.

Edwardian Mahogany Matching Dining Table and Six Chairs ca 1900 This beautiful antique Edwardian mahogany extending dining table and six dining chairs are all stamped by the renown maker ‘J.W.Hetherington. Lancaster. The dining table has a moulded edge above a deep frieze, a removable central leaf and winding handle and mechanism. The piece stands on four tapering legs with spade feet and chunky brass castors. The six dining chairs have moulded backs with beautiful carved back splats; stand on splayed back legs, tapering front legs with spade feet and each chair has a tapestry drop in seat The suite is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. A FRENCH WALNUT TABLE AND FOUR CHAIRS. THE TOP IS SUPPORTED BY FOUR TURNED AND TAPERED LEGS TERMINATING ON CONCEALED CUPPED CASTERS. THERE IS ALSO A CENTER ARCHED SECTION WITH TURNED AND FLUTED SUPPORTS WITH FINALS AT THE BOTTOM, AND TWO CURVED STRETCHERS. THE SIZE IS APPROX 41"X46" 29"HIGH, THIS WOULD EXTEND TO 91" IF EXTRA LEAVES WERE FITTED ( I HAVE NO LEAVES). THE CHAIRS HAVE FLUTED AND TURNED LEGS. THE TWO SIDE STRETCHERS BEING INVERTED. THE BACKS HAVE A GALLERY OF SPINDLES. THE SEATS AND BACKS ARE UPHOLSTERED IN BROWN LEATHER AND STUDDED.

Round dining table and chairs

This is a lovely round mahogany table dating from around 1840 with a low base level centre pedestal. The table measures 48 inches in diameter and will seat 4 - 6 people. The photo also shows a good set of rosewood cabriole chairs which look well with the table. This set of 6 has cabriole legs and is priced £1150.
