LATE 18TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL OAK STOOL WITH A DROP IN NEEDLEWORK SEAT DEPICTING A CASTLE AND BIRDS AND TREES ABOVE A MOULDED FRIEZE ON TURNED AND BLOCK LEGS UNITED BY BOX STRETCHER IN VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION AND A NICE SIZE THER ARE SIGNS OF OLD WORM AND THERE HAS BEEN A REPAIR (INFILL) TO ONE OF THE LEGS AND THERE ARE HOLES IN THE NEEDLEWORK. Regency Rosewood Foot Stool ca 1820 This beautiful antique Regency rosewood foot stool has a circular upholstered top with a moulded edge and stands on three beautiful scrolled curved legs. The piece has been newly upholstered in a neutral wool fabric, is a rich medium rosewood colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
