FINE c.1870 STAFFORDSHIRE SPANIELS ON BARREL FIGURE
An excellent Staffordshire group of two alert spaniels, the one chained to a large wooden barrel with a long black chain. The barrel has four black hoops and lies on a green bank. The dogs are well moulded and carefully painted with good feathering; there are traces of gilding around the collars and around the base. Condition: glazed over mould line at the front of the base; some lesser paint loss - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
