George II style silver café au lait set by Carrington & Co |
| This is a very elegant café au lait set comprising a coffee pot and hot milk pot. The set are hallmarked 1929 and 1931 and are by Carrington & Co the famous quality retail silversmiths in Regent Street, London, who were supplied by only the best manufacturing silversmiths. The set is of a very good gauge of silver and is designed in the circular tapering style of George II, with domed hinged caps and scrolled wooden handles.
Condition: Virtually perfect. No dents splits nicks or repairs and no scratching. The cap hinges are perfect and the lids open and close perfectly and the handles are perfectly solid with all their pins intact. Both pieces stand firmly without a wobble. The interiors of both pots are perfectly clean.
Dimensions: Both pots are 8” (20 cm) tall and 3 ½” (8.5 cm) in diameter at the base.
Weight: Combined weight of 26 ½” oz (750g)

Georgian George II silver salver - 1735 |
| This is a very nice 1735 George II small silver salver or waiter with a piecrust rim and crest to the centre. It stands on 3 hoof feet.
Condition: Very good. No dents or splits and a nice polished surface. The hallmarks are a little worn but still clearly visible.
Dimensions: 6 ¼” (16 cm) diameter and 7/8” (2 cm) high

An elegant and beautiful piece of furniture from the golden age of cabinet-making utterly redolent of its period and as usable and useful now as it was over 200 years ago.

This very early mahogany chest dates from the period when mahogany was first being imported and used by English cabinet makers .The moulded cornice has canted corners with reeded details . The drawers are constructed in oak with mahogany veneers embellished with boxwood line detail .The chest has retained its original brass handles and escutcheons . This good example from the early mahogany period has an inverted breakfront frieze with cockbeaded drawer . The solid cuban mahogany top folds over in the early tea table design . It stands on fine cabriolet legs with fine carved leaf detail to the tops which end on club feet .
