Small Georgian Oak Bureau / Writing Desk ca 1770 This beautiful small antique Georgian oak bureau / writing desk has a rectangular fall front and the interior has several drawers with brass knobs and pigeon holes. The lower section has three graduating cock beaded drawers with later swan neck handles. The piece stands on shaped bracket feet, is a warm light / medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Small George III Mahogany Kneehole Desk C1790

A nice small sized George III period kneehole desk /dressing table circa 1770-1790 . Dimensions : Width= 31"/79cm, Height =29"/74cm , Depth =20"/51cm . It has a full length freize drawer above graduated cockbeaded drawers to each side . The drawers are oak lined although two of them have been rebuilt in mahogany some time ago . To the centre is a cupboard with a cockbeaded door and working lock and key . The desk stands on a moulded border with shaped bracket feet . Circa 1900 unusual solid oak partners desk of smaller proportions. Moulded top edge over 7 graduated drawers to front side (including two deep ones), and two cupboards to other side, divided by an interior shelf to each, standing on either side of a dummy drawer, with lovely panelled detail to side ends, and terminating on a plinth base. With original brass fittings, and two cupboard keys. The desk is meant to sit in room centre and/or to be used by two people, or one person with extra storage. The size will suit any room and accommodate a modern home. Size-42 inches long by 29 inches deep by 30 inches high. In excellent condition, a lovely, useful and unusual piece.
