Set of Six Carved Oak Dining Chairs ca 1920 This beautiful antique set of six carved oak dining chairs have beautiful shaped carved backs with turned front legs, turned bobbin supports, five additional stretchers for added stability, solid seats and are of a pegged construction. The chairs are a medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Set of Six Victorian Oak Dining Chairs ca 1880 This beautiful set of six Victorian oak dining chairs are stamped Sopwith & Co Newcastle-Upon Tyne. All the chairs have curved carved backs, stand on tapering back legs and have beautiful turned reeded front legs with original brass and brown porcelain castors (one wheel is slightly different). The chairs have bow fronts with moulded edges and have been recently upholstered in burgundy faux leather (one chair back is slightly scuffed). The chairs are a light/medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in good original condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
