The central carved back support has a beautiful inlaid oval central panel with boxwood string inlay. The chairs stand on splayed back legs, tapering, moulded front legs, have been newly upholstered in a neutral fabric, are a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. This beautiful harlequin set has been constructed using quality satin walnut and each chair has a raised beautifully shaped ladder back with moulded edges, stands on splayed back legs and has elegant cabriole front legs.
