| Birmingham 1908 pair of heavy solid English hallmarked silver comports made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company, quality makers, who in the late 19th century, were the largest silver manufacturers in the world, and known for the quality and artistry of their work.
They had showrooms in London, and a factory in Birmingham.
Sensuous undulating edges with applied ribbon trim are supported by shaped pedestals.
Given as a gift in Whitefield, Lancashire, and inscribed with the charming 1910 inscription to the original owner, showing the provenance of the pair.
These are a lovely pair of comports in excellent condition, weighing 670 grams together.
Size 8.5 inches wide by 4 inches high.
A really lovely pair of comports, that can be used for many purposes.
As they are now exactly 100 years old, they would make a very special gift for a significant birthday, anniversary, or wedding.

| Birmingham 1904 stunning English hallmarked solid silver pierced comport or pedestal dish made by Charles S. Green & Co.
The comport has pierced foliate scalloped edges, and alternating solid and pierced lobes to top, forming a flower head pattern, raised to centre of dish, making it very three dimensional. The dish stands on a solid flared and fluted base, also edged in scalloped pattern.
Size-10.5 inches diameter by 4.5 inches high.
Weight-395 grams, or nearly 13 troy ounces.
This unusually beautiful piece is a lovely dish for desserts, fruit, or bread, and will be the focal point of any table or sideboard. Also makes a great gift.
In very good condition with clear hallmarks.

| London 1914 George V English hallmarked solid silver multiple pipe stand with integral match holder by very famous makers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company.
This is a very high quality, beautifully made and unusual gift for the pipe smoker, or the collector of novelty silver. It would look lovely as a table or desk accessory.
Weighing a heavy 130 grams, it comprises an edged tray standing on ball feet, holding an integral cup for matches, and two shaped scroll footed wire racks meant to hold up to two pipes. (pipe illustrated is a hallmarked silver banded Peterson pipe listed for sale separately)

| London 1907, English hallmarked solid silver novelty pen wipe in the form of a stickstand, by John Collard Vickery, fine maker, and retailer of "fancy goods." He headed a well known firm who made by appointment, goods for many European royal families.
The base is inset with bristles, and would also make an excellent hat pin stand.
Weight-50 grams.
Size 3.75 inches high, by 2 inches wide, by 1.25 inches deep.
A rare piece with excellent weight, condition, and quality.
It would look lovely on desk or table, or in a collection of novelty silver.
