Silver Scent Bottles
1893 Victorian silver scent bottle |
| This is a quite beautiful little Victorian silver scent bottle with a glass interior and stopper. The cylindrical bottle is beautifully embossed with flowers as is the hinged domed cover. There is a vacant cartouche on top of the cover.
Condition: Excellent. There are no dents splits or repairs to the body of the bottle or the lid. There are some very small nicks on the bottom, one slightly overlapping to the side, but very small and unnoticeable. The cartouche is vacant and has never borne an inscription or monogram. The hinge is perfect and the cap clips smoothly and firmly in place.
The interior glass and original glass stopper are perfect. The stopper fits perfectly.

1882 SAMPSON MORDAN SILVER SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE |
| NEW. A fine silver scent bottle, with a hinged top and glass stopper. The cylinder form bottle has relief wrythen form ribs, and the body is bright cut in a variety of shapes, lines, flicks and grooves that give the effect of tree bark; the top has a plain disk for initial or dedication engraving. The cut glass bottle has bevelled shoulders and a ten sided panel body. The spring top is ornately engraved "MT from SDR", the screw top is engraved "1879". The spring top is embellished with a most attractive horseshoe shaped engraving disk, set with light blue, possibly turquoise, cabochons; the screw top is ornately engraved with the initials "MM".
