PAIR SOLID SILVER SALTS |
| This pair of elegant solid silver cauldron salts was made in sheffield by the prestigious silversmith Thomas Bradbury & Son in 1933.
The salts are in very good condition, with no engraving, and measure over 2 1/4" in diameter and stand 1 3/8" high. Each one weighs 36.7 grams, making a total weight of well over 2 1/4 troy ounces.
The salts are made in the Georgian style, each standing on three curved legs terminating in hoofed feet. |

PAIR SILVER SALTS 1767 |
| This elegant matching pair of early George III solid silver cauldron salts were made and hallmarked in London in 1767.
They measure approximately 2.5" in diameter, stand 1.5" high and weigh a total of 97 grams excluding liners. They stand on three hoofed feet, have flared gadrooned borders, and have no engraving or initials. They are in good condition with minimal wear, with the exception of a few surface marks commensurate with age. The original Bristol blue glass liners are in excellent condition, with no damage whatsoever.
The hallmarks are quite legible, with the exception of the maker's mark, which is rubbed. Both have the date letter 'M' for the year 1767.
Salts of this type and age, in this condition would retail at twice our asking price in a London silver shop.

| A fine ruby glass double ended scent bottle, with scrollwork and foliate embossed silver gilt tops and collars. One end has a glass lined, hinged lid with spring loaded fastener, the other a cork lined screw top; both have plain discs for dedication or initial engraving. The ten sided body has straight cut panels with sloped shoulders. | Birmingham 1882/83 set of 4 solid English hallmarked silver salts in shell form, with original gilded bowls and standing on ball feet in excellent condition.
Beautifully made by Henry Hudson Plante, of Federick Street Works, Birmingham, with heavy weight, weighing 75 grams, and sized 1.75 inches in diameter, and .75 inches high.

| 19th century cast and silverplate large pair of salts in the guise of shells upon the sea bed, with traces of interior gilding to interior. Although unmarked examples, these can only have come from a superior firm such as Elkington, who were known to make such things.
Size 3 inches long by 2 inches wide shell only, 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches including base.
Very realistically and beautifully crafted, unusual, and in excellent condition.
Complements the listed fish serpent dish on stand very well. |

| 20th century set of four American sterling vase shaped silver pepperettes on stepped pedestal bases, or could be used for two salts and two peppers, in the Georgian style.
The tops have two different alternating engraved panels around the piercings.
Very heavy at 360 grams, and standing 5 inches tall each by 1.75 inches diameter. A thick gauge of silver, with tight fitting tops.
In excellent condition, with classic styling, and lovely quality.
