Made for Houbigant, Parisian perfumiers, founded in 1775. This is an early example of Houbigant's diversification into other fields at this time. Pretty and of collectable interest.

The latter is decorated with relief flowerheads and serpentine lines, as well as a raised panel of colourful millefiori glass; the interior is lined with a thin purple plush. SILVER GILT & ENAMEL PILLBOX |
| A very pretty small circular pillbox. The outside enamelled top and bottom in blue, the exposed rim and interior in silver gilt. Marked inside with an import mark for London 1922, the letters 'PNV' for the maker and the numerals 935 for the grade of silver (higher than sterling). A small scratch to the enamel on the top but no other damage to the enamel. Dia 1.25ins |
