| London 1907, English hallmarked solid silver novelty pen wipe in the form of a stickstand, by John Collard Vickery, fine maker, and retailer of "fancy goods." He headed a well known firm who made by appointment, goods for many European royal families.
The base is inset with bristles, and would also make an excellent hat pin stand.
Weight-50 grams.
Size 3.75 inches high, by 2 inches wide, by 1.25 inches deep.
A rare piece with excellent weight, condition, and quality.
It would look lovely on desk or table, or in a collection of novelty silver.

VINTAGE SILVER PEN-KNIFE SHEFFIELD 1926 |
| A neat silver pen-knife manufactured and hallmarked in Sheffield in 1926 by the silversmith Charles William Fletcher.
It has two steel blades each measuring 1.5" in length, and as it is not a lock knife, it is not classed as an illegal weapon. Its overall length is 2.75", and it is in good condition, with both blades opening easily. The hallmarks are clear and legible, and it is engraved with the initials 'C.P.' |

London 1966 solid cast silver letter opener/meat skewer with shell terminal. |
| London 1966 solid cast English hallmarked silver letter opener/meat skewer with shell and loop design terminal to both sides, in the design of a Georgian meat skewer.
This lovely letter opener will grace any desk beautifully. It is 10 inches long, by .75 inches wide, and is quite heavy weighing 3 ounces.
It is in excellent condition. |
19thC cast and silverplate fish serpent dish stand. |
| 19th century cast and silverplate dish stand in the guise of a fish serpent among the waves and seaweed, holding a dish aloft.
Although this example doesn't seem to be marked, the fine craftsmanship shows it must have come from a superior maker such as Elkington, who made such items.
Victorians were known to embrace this fanciful type of design in both metals and other materials (see listed oak library table).
Both the stand and the original fitted etched glass dish are in excellent condition.
Size approximately 5 inches wide by 5 inches high.
It is a wonderful dish for butter, sweetmeats, or the like, and an excellent talking point. |
London 1914 large solid silver salver |
| London 1914 solid English hallmarked silver salver in the Chippendale style and standing on three cast scrolled feet. Makers are Johnson, Walker and Tolhurst. This beautiful salver is crafted in a very thick guage of silver, making the salver exceptionally heavy at 36 ounces! There is a monogram to centre, which can be easily removed if desired.
Size is 12.5 inches in diameter, or 32 cm.
A lovely large classic shaped salver in very good condition.
