Victorian half pint embossed silver cup |
| This is a superb very good quality half pint capacity Victorian sterling silver cup, hallmarked 1894, and by the very good makers Wakely and Wheeler. It has a swirl fluted lower half, and the top is deeply and beautifully embossed with a floral design on a chased matt background. It has a lovely beaded harp shaped handle and stands on a circular gadrooned base. It has a lovely gilt interior. There is a small cartouche with the discreet engraved initials EW, I think. There is also a small inscription on the bottom of the base, and hence not visible, saying From RNJ 20.10.57,
