London 1932 Art Deco period solid silver and enamel very fine quality match box case by superior maker ASPREYS of London.  

London 1932 Art Deco period solid English hallmarked silver and enamel case for boxed matches by very famous maker, Aspreys, makers of the finest silver pieces. The pink enamel on concentric engine turned design, is on both sides of the box. Aside from one very hard to see flake to the enamel shown in the second photo, lower left corner, the box is in very good condition. Size 2 3/8 inches long, by 1.5 inches wide by 7/8 inches high. A very fine display piece or collectable, and a lovely and very useful piece for holding boxed matches for the fireplace or for lighting candles.

1909 GREEN GLASS MATCH HOLDER STRIKER w. SILVER COLLAR  

NEW. An attractive green glass spherical match striker, with a spun thread surface and silver collar. Condition: bruise (but no loss) to the base, see image #3; light surface marking to the silver collar; nothing further found - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. 1909 SILVER MATCH BOX HOLDER COVER w. MASONIC? SYMBOL   

A good and heavy (over 100g/3½oz) sterling silver match box cover, with a hammered surface. The cover has an oval cartouche with an engraved tree and the number "4" within a circle, the vertical stroke of the number ends in an arrow head; the motif sits on an oval base. The engraving could possibly be Masonic, or a club symbol, a visual interpretation of a name, or part of a coat of arms. Edwardian silver 'cherub' matchbox cover  

An antique sterling silver matchbox cover with the sought after cherub heads embossed on the top. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1905, it measures 2.5x1.5ins.
