| Sheffield 1896 Victorian English hallmarked solid silver set of 9 knives. Blades are stainless steel.
The lovely handles have a design of feathered and threaded edges with a shell to the middle and a flower at the terminal.
Size-7 inches long.
A very pretty and useful set of knives. Good for butter, cheese, fruit or dessert.

| Sheffield 1914 set of six English hallmarked solid silver handled knives with silver plated blades in original fitted case.
Handles have a pretty floral and thread design, and shaped pointed blades.
Wonderful for cheese and fruit or butter.

19thC ornate set of 5 solid silver French hallmarked silver gilt tea knives. |
| 19th century (post 1838) set of 5 French 1st standard solid hallmarked silver gilt tea knives, with .950 fine content. This is a higher silver content than English sterling. They are excellent quality, and weigh a full 305 grams. Marked to both blades and handles.
With beautiful shell and leaf pattern to handles, these knives are excellent for cheese, butter, or cake, and would look lovely on any table.
8 inches long.

| Sheffield 1941 solid English hallmarked silver pair of Art Deco butter knives with geometric shaped handles in original fan shaped case.
5.5 inches long each.
Weight-40 grams.
All in very good condition, and an excellent example of the Art Deco period style.
They will make a very useful and beautiful gift. |
Mappin Bros. Boxed Set 12 Fish Knives |
| This beautiful boxed set of 12 silver plate fish knives was manufactured between 1848 and 1863 by the prestigious Mappin Brothers, later Mappin & Webb.
The flame mahogany panelled box with vacant brass cartouche on the lid is in good condition with a brass lock in working order along with original key. It measures 11.5" (29cm) by 9.5" (24cm). The knives sit in the box in a double layer, and both the tray and box interior are velvet lined, with no wear to the velvet.
The knives measure a total of 9.25" (23.5cm), and the blades are 5" (13cm). The blades are scimitar shaped, engraved with stylized fish and acanthus leaves, and bear the Mappin Brothers marks used between 1848 and 1863. The handles are also decorated with acanthus leaves. They are in very good condition, with no play in the handles.
These knives would make an excellent present, or just treat yourself to something special.
