| Sheffield 1936 English hallmarked solid silver very large capstan inkwell with reeded borders by Walker and Hall, fine makers.
Hinged top contains glass liner, while the base is solid mahogany.
Size-6 inches in diameter by 2.5 inches high.
A very impressive and stylish piece for a desk, in classic form. With some minor marks to base edge, a beautifully presented impressive inkwell/instand, in very good condition. |

| Circa 1830 Georgian Old Sheffield Plate shaped inkstand with cast floral and shell decoration, two inkwells and desk tidy, standing on cast pierced scroll feet.

| Birmingham 1909 unusual Edwardian period English hallmarked solid silver and cut glass inkwell by Henry Matthews, with silver top extending down to wonderful chased and applied edge shoulder decoration, which appears to "drip" down over the cut glass body.
Lovely facet cuts to glass over entire base.
Size-3 1/8 inches diameter by 2.25 inches high.
With a minor mark to lid, in very good condition. |

| Birmingham 1902 solid English hallmarked silver and cut glass English hallmarked double inkstand/inkwell with pen rest.
This came from the estate of Dr. Robin Osler Barnard, internationally famous neuropathologist. He died in 2005, was a descendant of the famous Osler glass family, and an avid collector of antiques.
Size-4 3/8 inches long by 2 7/8 inches deep by 1 7/8 inches high.
With gorgeous light catching facet cuts to entire base, bevelled edges to all corners, and very clear hallmarks, this inkstand is a lovely piece in excellent condition, with an interesting provenance.

| A very pretty Victorian inkstand in sterling silver. Of oval form, the base is engraved with scrolling foliage and has a beaded rim. The glass receiver is crisply cut with small diamonds, and has a silver hinged and engraved lid. Very good hallmarks for London 1874. Base 8.5 x 6.75 ins. |
