1907 BOXED PAIR CUT CRYSTAL PICKLE DISHES & STERLING SILVER FORKS

NEW. A handsome pickle dish set, consisting of two cut crystal oval dishes, and two sterling silver three prong forks. The dishes have wavy rims and are cut with hobnails and stars within cigar shape grooves, as well as radiating blazes and Catherine Wheel type designs. The forks hallmarked for London 1907, maker's mark "JS&S" for John Sherwood & Sons , the inside of the box marked "Edward Ewen FSMC, BOA London, Dumfries, Watchmaker to the Admiralty". Irish Georgian silver forks 1798

a good set of five heavy gauge irish silver forks, 16 troy ounces, length 208mm. hallmarked for Dublin 1798

George III matched set of three solid silver forks.

London 1805, 1810 and 1817 matched set of three solid English hallmarked silver fiddle pattern forks by Solomon Hougham, and Solomon Royes and John East Dix. Although from different years, these are very well matched, and from the same family, with same initial to back of forks. 7.75 inches long. In very good condition.

Circa 1880 complete set of 12 silverplate pastry, oyster or salad forks by James Dixon and Sons.

Circa 1880 wonderful and complete set of 12 silverplate pastry, oyster, or salad forks by very good makers, James Dixon and Sons, in the double struck Kings pattern. Size 5.75 inches long by 1.25 inches wide. With very good weight and size, and attractive shell accent to heel of bowl, complementing the shell design to front and back of stem. The decoration is crisp and the tines are sharp. This complete set is in very good condition, will blend with other silver or is lovely to use alone. It is unusual to find 12 in a set.

10 Vic silver Queens Pattern Dessert forks

Ten antique sterling silver dessert forks in Queens's pattern. Double struck, no monograms or initials they are in excellent condition with clear marks. Eight are hallmarked for 1839 by the woman silversmith Mary Chawner, two bear marks for 1879 for George Adams. The match is excellent and both makers well-known for the quality of their work. Length 6.75ins.

Antique Dutch silver table fork

A good antique silver table fork with excellent Dutch marks for 1865 surmounted by engraved initials 'HS' above a number 'J2'. Length 20cms. Excellent condition

A set of six dinner forks in fiddle pattern with very good hallmarks for London 1843-5. Rubbed crests on the back with a crown and the word "Dover", the forks themselves in excellent condition.

A very good set of 5 Regency silver fiddle pattern dinner forks hallmarked for London1819 with maker's mark for William Chawner. Length 20cms. No crests or monograms

A set of 8 silver Queen's pattern dessert forks by the well-known Victorian woman silversmith Mary Chawner with good hallmarks for London 1839 with a further well-matched pair hallmarked 1879 by George Adams. Double struck. Length 6.75ins (17cms).

12 Victorian silver dessert forks in bead pattern. Although all hallmarked for London 1860 and well matched, they are two sets of six one by The Portland Co. Francis Higgins) and the other by "EE & JE" (Elizabeth Eaton). Crested, length 7ins (17.7cms). In excellent condition. A very good matched set of 9 sterling silver Italian pattern dessert forks in "as new" condition. 6 with excellent hallmarks for London 1889, makers' mark "WHB", the remaining two marked for London 1887, maker "SS" and an excellent match to the others. Weight 13ozs.
