In very good condition, these dishes are suitable as coasters, or for nuts, bon bons or butter.

Quality pierced silver dish by Walker & Hall |
| This exquisite pierced silver dish is by the top makers Walker and Hall and is of the highest quality being of a very good gauge of silver and weighing in at an excellent 8 ½ oz. It is hallmarked 1935. The dish has a plain central surface surrounded by a wide pierced and chased band of flowers. The outer cast rim is decorated with foliage.
Condition: Excellent. There are no dents nicks splits or repairs, and just a minimal amount of scratching to the plain central surface.
Dimensions: 6 ¾” (17.5 cm) in diameter

Antique Silverplated Dish. |
| Victorian silver plated dish; of "marine" theme this fabulous dish consists of four lovely shell dishes spreading from a "rocky base" centre. The carrying handle is in the form of four conjoined "coral twigs," and the base is surrouded by beautifully cast "shells." A really wonderful quality piece that could be used for nuts, fruit, bon-bons, petits fours etc. Ideal table centrepiece - just superb! Victorian silverplate at it's best.

1930's sterling silver caviar covered bowl and stand, made by GORHAM. |
| American sterling silver three piece caviar bowl, cover and stand, made by Gorham, excellent makers, and retailed by Black, Starr, and Frost-Gorham in New York, marked between 1929-1939. Gorham has always been known for fine quality, superior design and finishing.
This sterling is .925 fine, identical to English sterling silver.
This unusual piece consists of an original etched glass bowl, covered by a sterling cover topped with urn finial, resting on a sterling stand, having a cast and applied feather edge.
The stand has some surface scratching which could be buffed if desired, while the rest is perfect.
Size of stand is 10 inches diameter, while the bowl is 5 inches diameter.
In very good condition, a great piece for the caviar afficienado, or could be used for butter, prawns or dips. |

| Birmingham 1908 pair of heavy solid English hallmarked silver dessert stands made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company, quality makers.
Sensuous undulating edges with applied fluted trim are supported by shaped pedestals.
Given as a gift in Whitefield, Lancashire, and inscribed with the charming 1910 inscription to the original owner, shows the provenance of the pair.
These are a lovely pair of dessert stands in excellent condition, weighing 670 grams together.
Size 8.5 inches wide by 4 inches high.
As they are now exactly 100 years old, they would make a very special gift for a significant birthday, anniversary, or wedding. |

| London 1904 solid English hallmarked silver small dish for cards, pins, nuts or to hold a cut glass of whiskey or brandy on the gentleman's desk.
Made by the celebrated maker William Comyns in the beautiful classic shaped Chippendale style.
William Comyns made pieces for Tiffany's in New York and Paris, Shreve in San Franscisco, and Goldsmiths and Silversmiths in London.
Size 4.25 inches wide.
With very interesting family crest to centre, this antique is in very good condition, and would make an excellent gift.

19thC cast and silverplate fish serpent dish stand. |
| 19th century cast and silverplate dish stand in the guise of a fish serpent among the waves and seaweed, holding a dish aloft.
Although this example doesn't seem to be marked, the fine craftsmanship shows it must have come from a superior maker such as Elkington, who made such items.
Victorians were known to embrace this fanciful type of design in both metals and other materials (see listed oak library table).
Both the stand and the original fitted etched glass dish are in excellent condition.
Size approximately 5 inches wide by 5 inches high.
It is a wonderful dish for butter, sweetmeats, or the like, and an excellent talking point. |

Made by Stower and Wragg. Quite heavy, and a lovely piece on which to serve grapes. Excellent condition.
