Silver Manchester Regiment Spoon  

A silver Manchester Regiment spoon, carrying the maker's mark MN & WB for Mappin and Webb and hallmarks for Birmingham 1932. The handle is in the form of crossed rifles, surmounted by a Fleur de Lys, the regimental badge, beneath which is insribed LXIII (for 63rd of foot) and "MANCHESTER REGT" in silver on a blue enamel base. Length: 4.75 in / 12 cm

Magnificent 18th Century Silver Chest  

A huge red walnut silver chest in excellent condition. The two plank top covers the large storage box which sits above a pair of full width graduated drawers. This magnificent chest standing on shaped bracket feet with later brass handles has superb colour and patina. It offers heaps of practical storage as well as being a super eye-catching piece of period furniture. Chester 1911 solid silver five bar toast rack.  

Chester 1911 solid English hallmarked silver five bar toast rack with excellent weight, and in excellent condition, standing on ball feet. Chester silver is very collectable. Now these are also used for letter racks on a desk. Size 4 inches wide by 3.75 inches high. A lovely English silver toast rack.

Chester 1906 solid silver unusual shaped sauce boat by WALKER AND HALL.  

Chester 1906 solid English hallmarked silver sauce boat with quadrafoil shape, stylish split handle, and gadrooned edge, on claw feet, by very good maker Walker and Hall. Good weight at 140 grams, and in very good condition. Size-6.5 inches long by 3.25 inches wide by 3.5 inches high, including handle. An unusual and very attractive antique from a very collectable assay office, and by a famous maker.

Chester 1895 solid silver large watch fob.  

Chester 1895 large solid English hallmarked silver watch fob, with pierced leaf design, in excellent conditon. Size without loop is approx. 1.5 inches long by just over 1 inch wide. From a collectable assay office.

Chester 1923 pair tall solid silver English candlesticks by DEAKIN AND SONS.  

Chester 1923 pair of tall solid English hallmarked silver candlesticks with tapered octagonal shape by very good makers John and William Deakin trading as Deakin and Sons. These beautifully crafted candlesticks have truly been enjoyed, and are only in good condition due to some bruising, which makes the price extremely good for such sizeable solid silver. Size is 10.5 inches tall by 3.75inches wide. A very elegant and affordable pair of candlesticks from a very collectable assay office.

Chester 1898 solid pierced and embossed silver bowl  

19th century pierced and embossed silver oval bowl first made in France in the first standard of solid silver, and later imported to England and assayed as required. Therefore also bearing import marks for Chester 1898 for solid English hallmarked silver. Size 7.5 inches long by 4 inches wide by 3 inches high. A beautifully made bowl with pierced and embossed top edge, two graceful handles, and cast and applied paw feet. In excellent condition.

Chester 1905 solid silver bowl with liner and unusual feet.  

Chester 1905 solid English hallmarked silver eight lobed, bowl or dish on three animal monopodia feet by James Jay, with original handblown shaped liner. Repouse floral decoration to three lobes, all different. A very unusual bowl, and with excellent weight and craftsmanship. Size 5 inches across without handles by 2 inches high. The Chester assay office closed in 1962, and is therefore a very collectable hallmark in its own right as well. In excellent condition.

Chester 1910 solid silver card case  

Chester 1910 solid English hallmarked silver card case with attractive all over leaf engraving in excellent condition. Lid hinges up, and closes very securely. Made by Robert Pringle, it measures 3.5 inches high by 2 inches wide. This makes an excellent business card case. A lovely silver antique from a very collectable assay office. RESERVED.

Chester 1905 solid silver pair of cased pepperettes  

Chester 1905 solid silver English hallmarked pair of heart shaped pepperettes or a salt and a pepper, in original case. The bodies are fluted and have a leaf shape embossed over pedestal feet. Retailed by Schierwater and Lloyd of Liverpool. Size 4 inches long by 1.75 inches wide. Very pretty examples from a very collectable assay office in very good condition.

Chester Silver Sauceboat 1921  

This elegant solid silver sauceboat was manufactured by the Barker Brothers, and assayed in Chester in 1921. It is in the George II style, and stands on three hoofed feet. It measures 6" (15cm) long and 3" (7.5cm) high. There are no dents, dings or compression damage to it, and no monograms or engraving, and never have been. It is in excellent condition and would make a nice addition to anyone's silver collection or would enhance anyone's dining table or sideboard.

Art Nouveau Silver Buckle Chester 1901  

An Nouveau silver buckle moulded as a maidens head, marked for Chester 1901, makers mark A. J. S. size 3.25" x 2.25" , in perfect condition.
