c.1905 ARGENTOR PLATED NOUVEAU TABLE CENTREPIECE |
| An impressive and attractive silver plated table centrepiece in the Art Nouveau manner, mounted on four classical columns on a stepped pedestal base. The centrepiece has a glass insert with a wavy rim, the upper section of which is cut in eight segments with six clusters of ovals. The upper metal section has four X-pierced stripes between relief festoons of roses and flattened pilasters. The classical columns are embellished with grape clusters hung from laurel wreaths. The base is enhanced with grooved banding. Condition: tiny spots of oxidation to the interior of the metal bowl, some rubbing to the silver plate; light surface age and use wear; no damage to the glass insert; no damage to the metalwork - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
