London 1912 solid silver topped glass spirit flasks in crescent shaped glass, in fitted case by Finnigans of Bond Street.  

London 1912 English hallmarked solid silver topped glass spirit flasks in crescent shaped bottles, mounted in bespoke fitted leather case, by Finnigans of Bond Street. The glass is in perfect condition, and there is some slight bruising to one silver top. The silver tops screw on to the glass flasks, for a tight seal. Size overall in case-5 inches high by 2.75 inches diameter. Flasks alone-4.5 inches high, 2.4 inches wide and 1.1 inches deep. The case bears the retailers marks inside the lid. An unusual pair of cased flasks in very good condition.

1930s DECO SUGAR OR CANDY HOLDER WITH GLASS LINER  

NEW. A stylish Deco plated sugar or candy holder, with a relief patterned handle and fitted glass liner. The upper holder section is decorated with a band of relief stylised fan designs, the lower section is tapered and recessed on a stepped circular base. The edge of the glass liner is cut with a band of half ovals. Condition: small flux or finishing mark on the underside of the base; some light rubbing to the plate; minor age and use wear, undamaged - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. Antique Silverplated Decanter Stand.  

Victorian silverplated three bottle decanter stand; fabulous quality stand holding three lovely decanters, each with engraved fleur de lys pattern and cut glass stopper. The trefoil base has a cast foliate border and stands on three leaf pattern feet. The rings that hold each decanter are on leaf design supports and the centre carrying handle is also of foliate and leaf design. This is a very imposing piece of super quality Victorian plate, and wonderfully decorative. c.1870. Height of stand 40cm. Width of base 25cm. Height of each decanter 27cm.

Birmingham 1897 Victorian solid silver topped large and unusual cut and etched glass honey or preserve jar.  

Birmingham 1897 Victorian English hallmarked solid silver topped large cut and etched glass clover honey, preserve, or jam jar, with silver and ivory knob. The vase shaped jar has a beautiful stylised flower and stem design of clover and leaves. The use of both cut and etched glass is a striking design. With just one very tiny chip to inner side of top lip, which doesn't show, this unusual jar is in very good condition. Size-5.5 inches high by 4 inches wide. A selection of silver preserve and long handled condiment spoons and forks are available if desired, which would complement this piece. This would also be an excellent container for serving honey, pickles, onions, chutney and other condiments.

London 1927 solid silver and cut glass unusual pair of cylinder vases.  

London 1927 most unusual large pair of cut glass and English hallmarked solid silver cylinder vases made by William Gardener Groves, and very evocative of their era. Beautiful thumb, diamond, and star cuts to glass catch the light, while the silver tops gleam. Also having star cut bases. Size-8.25 inches high by nearly 3 inches in diameter. In very good condition with just some minor marking to silver tops. Wonderful to obtain a pair. They would make a lovely gift or a practical item to use.

19thC large hallmarked silver and cut glass Victorian double ended scent bottle.  

19th century Victorian English hallmarked silver and cut glass very large double ended scent bottle of superb quality. The lozenge shaped scent bottle has 10 panel cut sides with facet cut shoulders to each end. Both ends have very heavy gauge silver tops with interesting foliate and garland engraving. One end, for smelling salts, opens perfectly with a push button catch, and the inner lid is lined with glass and stamped Diller underneath, with the Queen's crown. The other end has a threaded top with original cork lining. Both ends close tightly and perfectly. The glass is in perfect condition. There is some minor bruising to the silver tops. Hallmarks are rubbed, so the exact year cannot be determined, but the young Queen Victoria's duty mark is quite clear. A really lovely and unusual very high quality scent bottle in very good condition. Size 5.25 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.

Birmingham 1932 Art Deco solid English hallmarked silver and cut glass rectangular dressing table jar by Adie Brothers. A very unusual and superior quality jar with engraved heavy weight silver top having a gilt interior. Size 3.5 inches high by 2 3/8 inches wide. A lovely and useful item for dressing table or desk, and suitable for a man or a woman. In excellent condition. 19thC cranberry glass and silverplate handled bowl.  

19th century silverplate handled bowl on pedestal with cranberry glass liner. 5.5 inches wide by 6 inches high. Very nice pierced work, beading and fluting to bowl, makes it very useful and decorative. In very good condition.

19thC Victorian silverplate tantalus by MARTIN AND HALL.  

Mid-Victorian silverplate tantalus by excellent makers Martin and Hall, with three original cut glass decanters having lovely step cut necks and unusual square stoppers. The stand, with swing handle, has beautiful beaded trim, and each division is united with applied shells. The whole stands on beaded ball feet. Overall size is 13 inches high by 11.25 inches wide. Each decanter is 10 inches high by 3 inches wide. This is a lovely all original antique tantalus which will be a pleasure to use. It is a fine example in excellent condition.

19thC cut glass and silverplate claret jug  

19th century cut glass baluster shaped claret jug with cast and applied silverplate mounts in the form of trailing vines, leaves and grapes, with naturalistic twisted grapevine handle. A grape bunch and leaf form the finial, and the interior is gilded. This claret jug has superb quality and is in excellent condition. Size 10.75 inches high by 6 inches wide.

Birmingham 1909 Edwardian period solid silver and cut glass inkwell.  

Birmingham 1909 unusual Edwardian period English hallmarked solid silver and cut glass inkwell by Henry Matthews, with silver top extending down to wonderful chased and applied edge shoulder decoration, which appears to "drip" down over the cut glass body. Lovely facet cuts to glass over entire base. Size-3 1/8 inches diameter by 2.25 inches high. With a minor mark to lid, in very good condition.

Birmingham 1902 solid silver and cut glass double inkstand.  

Birmingham 1902 solid English hallmarked silver and cut glass English hallmarked double inkstand/inkwell with pen rest. This came from the estate of Dr. Robin Osler Barnard, internationally famous neuropathologist. He died in 2005, was a descendant of the famous Osler glass family, and an avid collector of antiques. Size-4 3/8 inches long by 2 7/8 inches deep by 1 7/8 inches high. With gorgeous light catching facet cuts to entire base, bevelled edges to all corners, and very clear hallmarks, this inkstand is a lovely piece in excellent condition, with an interesting provenance. c1940s50s SOWERBY PRESSED GLASS PANDORA VANITY JAR BOX  

An excellent, clear and frosted square amber vanity jar, with a sloped and four double rib lid, the jar section with canted double rib corners on a sloped pedestal base. The four sides are decorated in relief with the kneeling figure of a woman holding a box, there is a gathered curtain behind her. Condition: light surface wear to the frosted surface, one or two very minor and typical mould flaws; no cracks, hairlines our bruising - if you have any questions about this item, contact me.
