Victorian Oak Barley Twist Buffet / Side Server ca 1880 This beautiful Victorian oak barley twist buffet / side server has a raised shaped back above three tiers with moulded front edges and beautiful barley twist side supports. The pie has four turned finials at the top and stands on turned bun feet. The piece is a warm medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. The piece has two mahogany lined drawers with original brass handles, beautiful turned column supports and a central shelf. The lower section has two cupboard doors with flamed mahogany central panels, a carved moulded edge, key and working locks. The piece stands on four cabriole carved legs with ball and claw feet, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
