Sheffield 1936 very large and impressive solid silver capstan inkwell with reeded borders by very famous makers WALKER AND HALL.  

Sheffield 1936 English hallmarked solid silver very large capstan inkwell with reeded borders by Walker and Hall, fine makers. Hinged top contains glass liner, while the base is solid mahogany. Size-6 inches in diameter by 2.5 inches high. A very impressive and stylish piece for a desk, in classic form. With some minor marks to base edge, a beautifully presented impressive inkwell/instand, in very good condition.

Sheffield 1905 Edwardian most unusual pair of solid silver and ivory knife rests in fitted case, made by JAMES DIXON AND SONS, very well known makers.  

Sheffield 1905 Edwardian period most unusual pair of English hallmarked solid silver and ivory knife rests in lovely original fitted case. Made by James Dixon and Sons, a very well known firm who exhibited at the Great Exhibition. Registration marks are also present with the hallmarks. This beautiful and unusual pair of knife rests have a shaped silver six panelled weighted base, topped by a silver ball, with well carved ivory wings extending from each side. Size-3 inches wide by 1.75 inches high. A very elegant undamaged pair of knife rests in excellent condition, and contained in a very good original fitted case. A very unique gift for the collector, and lovely to use at the dining table.

Sheffield 1922 pair of solid silver unusual fox and maltese cross spoons in original case.  

Sheffield 1922 pair of unusual English hallmarked solid silver spoons made and retailed by F.J. Ross and Sons of Winchester. The stems terminate with a double struck figural fox to one, and a Maltese Cross to the other, over tear drop shaped bowls. In the original fitted case, they are in very good condition. The case has one loose hinge which does not interfere with closure. Weight-45 grams. Size-6 inches long by 1.4 inches wide bowls. A very nice pair of spoons, most suitable for preserves or sauces.

Sheffield 1938 and 1948 solid silver 13 piece dessert cutlery service by well known maker Emile Viner, in original case.  

Sheffield 1938 and 1948 hallmarked English solid silver 13 piece dessert service by well known maker Emile Viner, in original fitted case. Comprises 6 forks, 6 large bowled spoons, and a serving spoon. The stems have a threaded edge with a pointed end, a style very evocative of the 30's and 40's, and most popular today with contemporary interiors. Total weight of silver is 430 grams. Size-forks, 5.75 inches long; spoons, 5.4 inches long by 1.5 inch wide bowls; serving spoon, 8.25 inches long by 2.5 inch wide bowl. All in very good condition, including the original fitted case. Great value, and a practical item to give as a gift or to use.

Pair Georgian Old Sheffield Plate chambersticks; gadroon, shell and leaf borders, crested, with removeable sconces and conical extinguishers. Charming. c.1825. Diameter 16cm. Height 10cm.

VINTAGE SILVER PEN-KNIFE SHEFFIELD 1926  

A neat silver pen-knife manufactured and hallmarked in Sheffield in 1926 by the silversmith Charles William Fletcher. It has two steel blades each measuring 1.5" in length, and as it is not a lock knife, it is not classed as an illegal weapon. Its overall length is 2.75", and it is in good condition, with both blades opening easily. The hallmarks are clear and legible, and it is engraved with the initials 'C.P.'

The lovely handles have a design of feathered and threaded edges with a shell to the middle and a flower at the terminal. Size-7 inches long. A very pretty and useful set of knives. Good for butter, cheese, fruit or dessert. In very good condition.

Sheffield 1941 solid silver cased set of Winston Churchill spoons by Henry Wilkinson.  

Sheffield 1941, English hallmarked solid silver set of 6 cased spoons commemorating the election to Prime Minister of Winston Churchill. The terminals are adorned with his portrait, and are encased in the original case. In heavy gauge of silver, the spoons weigh 105 grams. Size-4.75 inches long. Made by very good maker Henry Wilkinson. In excellent condition. A lovely gift for the Churchill afficienado.

Weighing a heavy 70 grams, these are an excellent weight, and are in very good condition. It is very nice to also have the original attractive case. A lovely pair to use or to give as a gift.
