| Shapland and Petter Edwardian Oak Partners Desk
This fantastic Oak partners desk dates to 1900 and is by the highly regarded firm Shapland and Petter of Barnstaple, each lock being stamped with S&P B. It has the usual 9 drawer configuration with graduated drawers all with heavy brass drop handles, the drawer runners having been checked to ensure that they all work smoothly and the locks having been serviced to make sure that the desk is fully lockable. The fielded side panels are attractive and well designed. To the opposing side is a configuration of 3 hinged paneled doors each shelved to a depth of 16" adding even more useful storage space to this already extremely capacious desk. The original red gilt tooled leather inset provides a smooth working surface.
The pictures are pre work and the desk will be re photographed once it has made its way through the workshop.
