Georgian Country Oak Settle ca 1790 This beautiful antique Georgian country oak settle has a panelled back with moulded edges, two shaped arms and stands on chunky turned legs. The piece has a later foam filled loose cushion, is a warm medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. George III Oak & Inlaid Mahogany Settle

A very good example of an Early Georgian oak settle dating from around 1760 . It is of jointed construction . The five panels to the back are crossbanded in mahogany with quarter circle corners and central lozenge-shaped inlaid mahogany veneer . The sweeping arms are supported by turned ballusters . This settle stands on particularly nice carved legs to the front which end on a simple pad and ball design .It has an upholstered seat in very good condition . The settle has lovely colour and patination for 240+ years . Viewing welcome , delivery available .
