Set of Six Victorian Mahogany Balloon Back Dining Chairs ca 1870
This beautiful set of six Victorian mahogany balloon back dining chairs have circular moulded backs, stand on splayed back legs and have beautiful carved cabriole front legs. The fronts are serpentine and the chairs have been recently upholstered in petrol blue velvet with a matching braid trim. The chairs are a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

This beautiful set of six Victorian mahogany balloon back dining chairs have oval backs, stand on beautiful turned front legs and splayed back legs, have a moulded edge and a drop in seat upholstered in later black faux leather (one seat has a tiny nick in the leather). The chairs are a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

This beautiful set of six early Victorian Cuban mahogany chairs consists of two carver and four dining chairs. Each chair has a balloon back with a beautiful carved top and back rail, stands on splayed back legs and elegant turned front legs. The chairs have a few minor old repairs, moulded fronts, been recently upholstered in cream damask and the carvers have beautiful scrolled arms. The chairs are a rich dark Cuban mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good original condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
