Offered for sale is this good set of six late Victorian / Edwardian inlaid mahogany dining chairs with yoke shaped back rail and pierced centre splat over newly reupholstered drop-in seats and on square tapered supports. These are a fine quality set of chairs that are extensively line inlaid with boxwood along with satinwood inlay to the back and centre splat. The chairs have been cleaned, revived and waxed and seats reupholstered in a neutral gold John Lewis fabric and are in excellent showroom condition with all joints firm. Set of Six Inlaid Mahogany Dining Chairs ca 1890 This beautiful set of six Victorian inlaid mahogany Mackintosh influenced dining chairs consists of two carvers and four dining chairs. Each chair has a beautiful carved back and satinwood inlay with boxwood and ebony stringing around the edges. The chairs stand on splayed back lags, tapering front legs and are upholstered in green velvet with a matching braid trim. All are a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
