Set of Six Edwardian Mahogany Dining Chairs ca 1900 This beautiful set of six antique Edwardian mahogany Hepplewhite style dining chairs consists of two carvers and four stand chairs. Each chair has an oval beautifully carved back with splayed back splats, stands on splayed back legs, tapering front legs and has a H stretcher for added stability. The chairs have been later upholstered in cream fabric ( one is slightly marked), are a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. The chairs have splayed back legs, tapering reeded front legs and have been recently upholstered in a neutral floral fabric. The chairs have a retail/makers label James Barrie – Brechin, are a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. The carvers have splayed reeded arms and the chairs stand on splayed back legs, tapering front legs and have a double H stretcher for added stability. The chairs are upholstered in their original red leather, are a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in good original condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
