Superb set of six George I style mahogany chairs. True to the design of period chairs with high backs, bold cabrioles and turned stretchers. Retailed by Bobby and Co from Margate in the early 20th century. Circa 1900. Re-upholstered in gold and rust coloured fabric.

Set of 6 George III Mahogany Dining Chairs C1810

A good set of six George III period mahogany dining chairs circa 1810 in very good original condition . They are in the Sheraton design of chair including one carver and five single chairs . The chairs have lovely fret cut and carved mid rails with reeded details to the backs and uprights . They have drop in seats so can easily be recovered if required . Delivery available .

Set of 6 Antique Mahogany Chippendale Style Dining Chairs

Offered for sale is this good set of six mahogany Chippendale style dining chairs dating to about 1900 and consisting of four single and two carver chairs. The chairs have a shaped and carved back rail above a pierced and carved centre splat over newly recovered drop-in sprung seats with molded seat rails above carved cabriole supports with acanthus carved shoulders and ball & claw feet. The chairs are offered in excellent showroom condition with all joints firm and the woodwork cleaned, revived and waxed. The seats have been newly recovered in a neutral gold John Lewis fabric.

The chairs have been cleaned, revived and waxed and seats reupholstered and are in showroom condition. The highly figured bar backs having line brass inlay with rope twist detail to their tops, the central splat being of rope twist design. Standing on sabre legs these lovely dining chairs simply glow. Consisting of 5 dining chairs and one carver they are a lovely set. Having been through our workshops the joints have been checked and clamped as necessary, the chairs have been French polished and traditionally waxed before having the drop in seats rebuilt and traditionally reupholstered in a lovely regency stripe.
