20th century unusual and striking solid silver and enamel Norwegian large caddy spoon by Magnus Aase.  

20th century large and unusual solid silver and enamel Norwegian caddy spoon by well known maker Magnus Aase of Bergen, Norway. Magnus Aase was active from 1876-1953. This spoon was likely made around WWII. Much silver with enamel was made in the 20th century for export, as there was quite a strong emphasis on enamel. This .925 fineness silver spoon has a striking blue leafy enamel pattern to the stem, a wide bowl, and is in excellent condition. Size-4.5 inches long by 1.75 inches wide bowl. Weight- 40 grams. Early 20thC Norwegian small solid silver and enamel spoon.  

Early 20th century small solid silver marked .925 sterling, the same as English sterling silver, hallmarked Norwegian silver and enamel spoon. Interesting pierced stem with green enamel design. Unusual shaped bowl. May be a caddy spoon, or perhaps for sugar. A lovely spoon in very good condition. Norwegian Bergen Enamelled Spoon   

A Norwegian silver spoon marked "NORGE 925S" and "MEROK" to the bowl. The handle features an enamelled image of a Viking longship and an intricate Celtic design.

Norwegian Silver Beaker   

A Norwegian Silver Beaker, maker's mark DK, assay master AL, also bearing the mark MP conjoined (gothic script), Bergen 1779. The flared body wrigglework engraved with foliage and with rings for pendants (now missing), corded girdle and on a domed foot. Formerly the property of Hon. Simon Howard and acquired at the Sotheby's Sale held at Castle Howard in November 1991. Height: 4.5 inches / 12 cm Diameter: 3 inches / 8 cm
