An EXCELLENT Meissen monk figure, C.1740. |
| An EXCELLENT Meissen monk figure, C.1740, modelled by J.J.KAENDLER & P.REINEKE. Unusually left in the white. My photos have whited out the LOVELY FINE modelling on this. SUPERB CONDITION, with only that cross restuck. No other damage or restoration. Size:- 6 3/8ins / 16 1/2cms high. |
A VERY early Bow monk, C.1752/3. |
| A VERY early Bow monk, C.1752/3. He is in lovely condition, with only a restored hand. His left hand. About 6ins high. It is a typical VERY HEAVY piece for the size, which we see in the early 18th century figures. |
SUPERB set 6 Meissen monkeyband figs. Mid 19th cent |
| These are in AMAZINGLY GOOD CONDITION, with no restoration, cracks or missing parts. The drummer has one tiny tiny flake off the drum. The sitar or guitar player has one tiny tiny flake off his hat. The bagpipe player has a tiny piece of the end of the instrument chip. I have never seen such early pieces, and vulnerable figures in such LOVELY condition. All are fully marked to the undersides with crossed swords and incised numerals.
I offer these at much below the price I have seen other 19th and 20 cent Monkey figures. |
