An IMPORTANT St. Cloud Seau A Verre, C.1735. Meissen. |
| An IMPORTANT St. Cloud Seau A Verre, C.1735 or wine cooler. PERFECT CONDITION. Definately no restoration or damage. This is one of the reasons I liked it. INCREDABLY RARE. Also, those most unusual faces. which are totally unlike the ones I see on early Meissen. The moulding is CRISP and BEAUTIFULL. It is 5 1/2 ins/14cms wide by 4 1/2ins/ 12cms high. |
A BEAUTIFULL Meissen teapot, C.1745 |
| This wonderfull teapot and lid are both in PERFECT CONDITION. AMAZING for over 260 years old. Fully marked with the very early slightly feint crossed swords mark. |
A VERY RARE & FINE Chelsea dish, red anchor C.1755. |
| Possibly painted by JEFFREYS HAMMETT O'NEAL, with Meissen style harbour scenes.
The enamels are lovely and bright, as I would say that it has never been used / rubbed. I would say the previous owners put it away. Professionally restored. Size 9 1/2ins across, painted small red anchor mark to rear, and typical Chelsea stilt marks.
If you were lucky enough to find one of these in near perfect condition, it would be much over £1,000. |
EXTREMELY RARE LARGE Meissen stand from a Tafelaufsate, C.1738 modelled by J.J.KAENDLER. |
| An EXTREMELY RARE LARGE Meissen stand from a Tafelaufsate, C.1738 modelled by J.J.KAENDLER. Painted in a BEAUTIFULL KAKIEMON pattern. This is the earliest piece I have ever seen modelled by Kaendler, as we normally see his figures from C.1740 if we are lucky, and mostly from C.1745 to C.1757. This would have come from a Royal service, or at least a titled person's VERY GRAND SERVICE. LARGE size at 15 3/8ins / 39cms across.
For a simmilar example to this, see the service made for Fieldmarshal Graf von Munnich. Also, see Ingelmore Menzhausen, 'Kunstschatze aus Dresden' Kunsthaus Zurich Exhibition Catalogue (1971), p.349, fig 67, Kat. no. 346
PROVENANCE:- With Segal, Basel. I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE THIS TO BE AN 18th CENTURY Meissen piece, and if you took it to any of the big auctioneers in London, New York etc, such as Christies, Sothebys or Bonhams and they dissagreed, I would take it back for a FULL refund.

A SUPERB Sevres Tete-A-Tete. Late 18th century. |
| This is a VERY RARE set for two reasons. 1). It is true 18th century and DECORATED IN THE 18th CENTURY, as opposed to the 95% of Sevres we see which is either decorated in the 19th cent or even into the 20th cent. 2). It is a COMPLETE set, as opposed to the individual pieces we see from time to time.
Fully marked to the undersides, with the interlaced blue Sevres marks, date codes, and painter's numbers.
Condition:- SUPERB.
I think this set could sell for £2,000 plus in a good London sale, but I am happy to make an easy sale on this site. More photos on request. |
