A VERY RARE miniature Caughley meat dish, C.1770. |
| Yes, believe it or not, at only 2 3/4ins across, this is a miniature meat dish. It would have been part of a dinner service. PERFECT CONDITION. Also, fully marked with the 'S' mark for Salopian at Caughley.
True miniatures, as opposed to just small pieces, are VERY RARE, and highly collected.

| An UNUSUAL Bow meatdish, C.1760. The prunus moulding on this is VERY HEAVILY RAISED, and is BEAUTIFULLY CRISP. I am not sure my photos will be able to show this. EXCELLENT CONDITION, with only 2 small rim chips. No hairlines, cracks or restoration. Size:- 11ins by 7 3/8ins. Note the old collection label to the back, saying "BOW and then 1730 - ?. |
