Portrait of a Sir Harcourt Johnstone, Bart, M.P. Wearing Masonic Regalia, English School 19th Century  

oil on canvas 36 x 28 in . He was a Past Master of the Old Globe Lodge No.200, Scarborough,Provincial Junior Grand Warden of the Province of Yorkshire, North & East Ridings 1868-69 and a Grand Warden of the United Grand Lodge of England.He was the eldest son of Sir J V B Johnstone, Bart,born in 1829 and succeeded his father as Third Baronet in 1869. In 1881 he was created Baron Derwent of Hackness (peerage of the UK). He was formerly Lieutenant in 2nd Lifeguards, Major in the East Riding Artillery Volunteers and M.P. for Scarborough 1869-80. Residences: 34 Belgrave Square and Hackness Hall, North Riding of Yorkshire. He was Mp for Scarborough.

Masonic Regalia 1930's  

A set of Masonic Regalia dating from the 1930's and including original leather case. This regalia was from a Devon Lodge, and includes sashes, apron, cuffs etc. in their original leather carrying case. They are in good condition, with the exception of the apron which is worn at the back, and the case is in need of stitching at one corner.

1909 SILVER MATCH BOX HOLDER COVER w. MASONIC? SYMBOL   

A good and heavy (over 100g/3½oz) sterling silver match box cover, with a hammered surface. The cover has an oval cartouche with an engraved tree and the number "4" within a circle, the vertical stroke of the number ends in an arrow head; the motif sits on an oval base. The engraving could possibly be Masonic, or a club symbol, a visual interpretation of a name, or part of a coat of arms. Condition: some light surface age and use wear; undamaged - if you have any questions about this item, contact me. 1899 HILLIARD & THOMASON SILVER SCENT PERFUME BOTTLE  

An elegant silver scent bottle, with a glass liner and stopper. The bottle is engraved with swirling leaf scrollwork, the front has a plain panel for engraving. An IMPORTANT Worcester ARMOURIAL mug of Masonic interest, circa 1765. Printed in black with the Arms of the Grand Lodge of England inscribed 'Amor Honor et Justicia' and 'Sit lux et lux fuit' within a rococo cartouche, flanked by three Masons and Masonic emblems, pyramidal temples surmounted by heavenly and temporal globes to the sides, 13cm high (full size mug). This is an early, and particularly clear example of an VERY uncommon print. Provenance: the Zorensky collection, part 3, lot 264. From there, to the Sir Jeremy Lever collection. Labels for both to base.
