Maples & Co Burr Walnut Dressing Table |
| A Maples & Co Ltd burr walnut dressing table of exceptional quality by this well known company, circa 1900. The mirror tilts and has small drawers to either side and there are two drawers under. It stands on square tapered legs with a stretcher. The dressing table has a wonderful lustre; burr walnut is a wonderful material having a unique pattern and colour.

| Victorian Mahogany Maples Desk / Writing Table ca 1890
This beautiful Victorian mahogany desk / writing table is in the Arts & Crafts style and is made by the renowned maker Maples & Co. The piece has a rectangular moulded top with central later faux leather writing insert above two mahogany lined drawers with original brass handles. The piece stands on four tapering scrolled legs with moulded edges, original brass casters, has a H stretcher for added stability, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

| Small Maples Bow Front Hall / Wardrobe ca 1900
This beautiful small Edwardian mahogany bow front hall / wardrobe has its original makers label Maple & co. The piece has a moulded cornice with dentil moulding above two full length doors with shaped, raised fielded panels and original brass handle, key and working lock. The interior has one removable shelf, sliding hanging rail and original brass hooks. The piece stands on a blind fretwork plinth, shaped bracket feet, is a medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Superb Edwardian mahogany pot cupboard by Maples |
| This is a superb quality Edwardian pot cupboard, bedside cabinet in solid mahogany by Maples, the renowned cabinet makers of Tottenham Court Road in London.
This elegant cabinet has a top with carved edge and classically inspired swan necked upstand. The door enclosing a storage cupboard with one shelf has an attractive serpentine shaped raised and fielded panel.
The cupboard is bounded by upright pilasters with closed fretwork carving. The ornate brass drop handle is original and still retains traces of the original ormolu gilded finish. The cupboard is raised on a plinth base with spreading ogee bracket feet.

This attractive small pot cupboard/bedside cabinet/hi fi storage cabinet is in wonderful original condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs anywhere, no warping and no evidence of woodworm, old or new.
Although this cupboard is over a hundred years old it has obviously been well looked after in its lifetime as it is in such good condition, with a wonderful glowing colour and patina. |
