Circa 1900 very unusual Continental birch and maple bombe base arch top inlaid display cabinet with drawers.

Circa 1900 Continental very unusual birch and birds eye maple bombe base arch top display cabinet with two drawers. Beautifully shaped arch topped cabinet glazed on three sides, with three adjustable shelves over bombe shaped base with two drawers, provides beautiful and unique display and storage space for collectables or books. The whole stands on bun feet. Predominately birch, the chamfered corners, door trim, and drawer fronts are also inlaid with birds eye maple. Boxwood and ebony inlay also decorate the drawer fronts. With ormulu fittings. Fabulous curvaceous shape, and in a great size to fit any home at 75 inches high by 35.5 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Wonderful colour and craftsmanship. With key, and in very good condition.

Maples & Co Burr Walnut Dressing Table

A Maples & Co Ltd burr walnut dressing table of exceptional quality by this well known company, circa 1900. The mirror tilts and has small drawers to either side and there are two drawers under. It stands on square tapered legs with a stretcher. The dressing table has a wonderful lustre; burr walnut is a wonderful material having a unique pattern and colour. W-122 D-60 H-175 (cm)

Antique Oak Pedestal Desk by Maple & Co

Offered for sale is this fine quality oak pedestal desk measuring 54" wide by 30" deep by 30" high. The desk splits into three parts for ease of movement, the two pedestals each with three graduated drawers and the top with another three drawers. It is of exceptional quality and dates from about 1920 with a makers plate inside one drawer "Maple & Co - Tottenham Court Road". The drawer fronts have geometric mouldings and are oak lined with hand cut dovetail joints and a back lip to prevent papers from slipping out the back of the drawer, the sides and back are panelled and the top has a replacement antique green leather skiver. The desk is in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and sympathetically repolished.

Maple and Co Victorian rosewood bedroom suite

This stunning Victorian Rosewood Bedroom suite is by Maple and Co of Paris and the quality is superb. Consisting of a large combination wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinet it represents excellent value for money and the whole suite has been through our workshops and is in wonderful condition with all the locks working and runners checked. The wardrobe divides into 4 sections for ease of transport, 2 large deep drawers to the base with a full hanging section to the left hand side and 4 drawers with cupboard above to the right. The cornice has wonderful detailing and the swan neck pediment is fretted to match the fret work to the top of the dressing table. The whole is in rosewood and a lovely deep dark rich colour with complementary brass handles of rococco design. We have lined the wardrobe with a cream calico to make sure that the interior is as impressive as the exterior. Height 92" max Width 76" max, the body measuring 72" Depth 23" max, body 21" and internally 19" This whole suite oozes quality and the makers label of Maple and Co can be found on the back of the wardrobe and dressing table. The panels are embelished with acanthus detailing and pretty floral relief work. The depth of this wardrobe makes it ideal for use with modern day hangers, plus the added benefit of a central bevelled door ( a small amount of foxing can be seen on the wardrobe door but nothing detremental, just a few flecks to add to the character of this wonderful piece). The dressing table is full of beautiful detail from the spiral turned slender legs to the upstands which have the feel of Chinese Chippendale along with the lovely fretted pediment to the top of the dressing table. The dressing table itself has 2 deep drawers to the base with 2 useful jewellery drawers to the upstand. Height 71.5" to the top of the pediment Width 47.5" Depth 24" The bedside cabinet is of similar feel having the same detailing to the door, acanthus with floral accents. Small Maples Bow Front Hall / Wardrobe ca 1900 This beautiful small Edwardian mahogany bow front hall / wardrobe has its original makers label Maple & co. The piece has a moulded cornice with dentil moulding above two full length doors with shaped, raised fielded panels and original brass handle, key and working lock. The interior has one removable shelf, sliding hanging rail and original brass hooks. The piece stands on a blind fretwork plinth, shaped bracket feet, is a medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. P88 Walnut roll top desk by Maple & Co

This Edwardian walnut roll top by Maple & Co. is very well fitted out. The s-shaped lockable top holds a brass escutcheon and the tambour slides open to reveal a polished writing surface, a generous number of drawers in various sizes and a variety of stationery compartments. Each pedestal contains four drawers of equal height and a pull out slide. Between the pedestals sits a lockable central drawer. The side and rear elevations are very attractively panelled, as are the inner faces of the pedestals and the rear central screen.
