This beautiful Period Early Georgian Mahogany Bureau / writing desk has a moulded fall front with a brass key escutcheon and the interior has four oak lined small drawers and several pigeon holes. The lower section has three graduating cock beaded, oak lined drawers with original brass handles and key escutcheons. The piece stands on four beautiful shaped bracket feet, has oak back boards, is superb quality, a rich medium / dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Small Gillows Ebonised Mahogany Writing Desk |
| An ebonised mahogany writing desk by ‘Gillows’ in good unrestored condition. Each of the 5 drawers being beautifully crafted in solid mahogany, using fine hand-made dovetail joints. The slender turned legs are linked with pierced cloverleaf stretchers, the design being repeated in corner inserts below the kneehole drawer and at the top of the legs.
The aged leather is worn but looks great, so can be left as it is or replaced. The central drawer has been stamped by ‘Gillow’ as seen in the photo below.

This beautiful antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany bureau / writing desk has a moulded fall front with a beautiful shell inlay, key and working lock. The interior is oak lined has two small drawers and several pigeon holes. The lower section has four graduating oak lined drawers with brass swan neck handles. The piece stands on bracket feet, has satinwood banding around all the edges, is a rich warm medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

This beautiful antique flamed mahogany bureau / writing desk has a brass plaque on the interior ‘presented to J.W.Ritchie on 31st March 1925. The piece has a moulded fall front with key and working lock and the interior has a leather writing insert, several pigeon holes and three small drawers. The lower section has three graduating mahogany lined, cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles and the piece stands on four beautiful carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
