Victorian Mahogany Games Table / Work Box ca 1880 This beautiful Victorian mahogany games table / work box has a serpentine front and chequered top in assorted inlays. The piece has a frieze drawer above a pull out work box (this would have been covered in fabric), beautiful fretwork carved supports, shaped sides and stands on four scrolled legs. The piece has some old veneer repairs, is a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Regency Mahogany Work / Sewing Table ca 1830 This beautiful Regency mahogany work / sewing table has a rectangular flamed mahogany top with rounded corners above a mahogany lined drawer with divider. The piece has a faux drawer at the opposite and all the handles are original. The piece has a pull out work basket that has been recently upholstered. The piece stands on four beautiful turned upright supports, has a turned cross stretcher and four bun feet with small castors. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Georgian Mahogany Piecrust Top Tripod Table  
Mahogany tripod table with a one piece top and the pie crust carved from the solid timber not applied and glued seperately. The table is dated as Georgian but it could be a Victorian or Edwardian copy - the quality, detail and the mahogany timber used is that good - the braces to the rear of the top are definately newer replacements. There are no splits or cracks in the top and no chips or damage to the carved edge. No loose joints anywhere, top block is nice and firm with some previous repairs, and the top is level and doesn't wobble. Nothing wrong with this table at all. telephone 01454 228800 9am to 9pm. Buyer collects or can delivery at 22p per mile round trip elsewhere in England and Wales. NOTE the top is just over 24" in diameter. This is the 9th item of approxmately 25 that we will be listing on this site during the coming few weeks starting on Monday 1st October 2007, most of which will be in showroom condition.
