George III Mahogany Wardrobe/Linen Press C1780

A good George III period mahogany Wardrobe /Linen Press circa 1780 . Dimensions : Width including cornice = 49"/125cm , Height =74"/188cm , Depth = 23"/59cm . Interior hanging length 39"/100cm . It has a fixed moulded cornice .Below are two cupboard doors on rule joint hinges with working lock and key , the interior space has a brass pole for hangers . The wardrobe sits on a chest of two short over two long cockbeaded drawers providing lots of storage space . These drawers are all oak lined with fine cuban mahogany veneers , brass swan neck handles and brass escutcheons . The colour and condition to the finish are very good , although it has had some small replaced bits of beading and chipped veneer over it's two hundred years of use . All minor faults on this good quality piece of furniture have been considered in terms of our reasonable sale price . Viewing welcome . Delivery available .

Attractive inlaid Edwardian Bowfronted Combination Wardrobe This beautiful example dating to the early part of the 20th century is in mahogany with line inlay to the cornice and drawer fronts. The 2 mirrored doors are in excellent condition and open to reveal a beautifully lined interior, padded and covered in calico, with 2 brass rails fitted for modern hangers. A good depth and height means this stunning antique wardrobe offers excellent storage with the added benefit of a bank of 4 bowed drawers with brass furniture which have been fully buffed to enhance the decoration. The bowed cupboard door opens to reveal a shelved interior, ideal for storage or perhaps to store a television. The doors having highly figured oval panels, the whole in beautiful condition and a lovely rich conker colour. This wardrobe divides into 5 sections for ease of movement. The piece has a moulded cornice above two full length doors with moulded panels, original handle, key and working lock. The interior has a removable mahogany shelf above a brass hanging rail and the piece stands on shaped bracket feet, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Regency Mahogany Breakfront Triple Wardrobe ca 1830 This beautiful mahogany Regency breakfront triple wardrobe has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze, two central cupboard doors with key and working lock and the interior has one removable shelf. The piece has four graduating drawers with original turned knobs and brammer key escutcheon flanked by two full length wardrobe doors with arched panels, key and working locks. The left interior has turned hanging hooks and a later pull out hanging rail above a shoe box. The right interior has a later pull out hanging rail. The piece stands on a plain breakfront plinth, is a warm medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
