Regency Mahogany Double Wardrobe / Armoire ca 1820 This beautiful antique Regency mahogany double wardrobe / armoire has a plain cornice above two full length cross banded doors with central moulded panels, brass slam strip, key and working lock. The interior has two brass hanging rails, is lined with cream velvet and has two oak lined cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles. The piece stands on shaped bracket feet, has a shaped apron, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Mahogany double wardrobe / armoire ca 1890. This stunning antique Victorian Mahogany double wardrobe / armoire has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze, it has two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels, later key escutcheons, key and working lock. The right hand interior has brass hooks above a fixed shelf and has four sliding linen trays. The left hand interior has a brass hanging rail and is deep enough for a modern coat hanger. The lower section has a moulded top above a deep mahogany lined drawer and stands on raised legs. This is a quality piece with it’s original mahogany backboards. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with striking grain, good patina, and is in good condition, which has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing and splits into three for ease of removal. HANDSOME & IMPOSING VICTORIAN MAHOGANY BREAKFRONT TRIPLE WARDROBE COMPACTUM OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND DATING FROM AROUND 1860. IT HAS A MOULDED CORNICE TOP ABOVE A DEEP MAHOGANY FRIEZE. THE BREAKFRONT HAS A FULL LENGTH BEVELLED MIRRORED DOOR SURROUNDED BY MAHOGANY FRAME WITH ARCHED TOP AND CARVED ACANTHUS CREST. INTERNALLY THERE IS AN OPEN SECTION WITH BRASS HOOKS AND FIVE GRADUATING DEEP DRAWERS ALL WITH BRASS HANDLES AND BEING MAHOGANY LINED. THERE ARE TWO FURTHER PANELLED AND ARCHED DOORS TO EITHER END FITTED INTERNALLY WITH BRASS HANGING RAIL AND DRAWER TO THE BOTTOM. IT STANDS ON A MOULDED PLINTH BASE.
