Edwardian Mahogany Bow Front Wardrobe ca 1900 This beautiful Edwardian antique mahogany bow front wardrobe has a moulded cornice above two full length doors with moulded panels and striking figured mahogany. The piece has its original brass handle, key and working lock. The interior has one removable shelf, brass hanging rail and hooks. The piece stands on splayed bracket feet, has original mahogany backboards, is a rich medium/dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Large Victorian Mahogany Double Wardrobe (more images to be added within the next 24 hours) Overall dimensions 87" high 56" wide (cornice) 27" deep (cornice) Good size inside hanging space measures 54" high 49" wide 21" deep Superb quality double wardobe constructed from solid mahogany and veneered in thick figured mahogany veneer with an extra large hanging depth, front to back of 21". No splits or cracks and no missing veneer. Doors close without sticking and lock with a working key. Both catches work perfectly. Two short and one long solid mahogany drawers to the interior which are a really good size with plenty of depth. Drawers run nice and smoothly. The extending hanging fitments are later additions and can be replaced with a tubular rail running side to side if desired ,pre delivery, free of charge. Original french polished finish is showing a deep lustre and has been carefully cleaned and waxed. Overall colour is light mahogany, with the sides slightly darker, and is consistent. (because of lighting, photo shows darker to the left door) Some minor aged marks, knocks, dents etc but nothing untoward. We can deliver in our own vehicle for cost of fuel round trip to your door anywhere in England and Wales within a few days of purchase - please get in touch for a firm quote. This stunning antique Victorian Mahogany double wardrobe / armoire has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze, it has two cupboard doors with raised fielded panels, later key escutcheons, key and working lock. The right hand interior has brass hooks above a fixed shelf and has four sliding linen trays. The left hand interior has a brass hanging rail and is deep enough for a modern coat hanger. The lower section has a moulded top above a deep mahogany lined drawer and stands on raised legs. This is a quality piece with it’s original mahogany backboards. The piece is a rich red mahogany colour with striking grain, good patina, and is in good condition, which has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing and splits into three for ease of removal. HANDSOME & IMPOSING VICTORIAN MAHOGANY BREAKFRONT TRIPLE WARDROBE COMPACTUM OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND DATING FROM AROUND 1860. IT HAS A MOULDED CORNICE TOP ABOVE A DEEP MAHOGANY FRIEZE. THE BREAKFRONT HAS A FULL LENGTH BEVELLED MIRRORED DOOR SURROUNDED BY MAHOGANY FRAME WITH ARCHED TOP AND CARVED ACANTHUS CREST. INTERNALLY THERE IS AN OPEN SECTION WITH BRASS HOOKS AND FIVE GRADUATING DEEP DRAWERS ALL WITH BRASS HANDLES AND BEING MAHOGANY LINED. THERE ARE TWO FURTHER PANELLED AND ARCHED DOORS TO EITHER END FITTED INTERNALLY WITH BRASS HANGING RAIL AND DRAWER TO THE BOTTOM. IT STANDS ON A MOULDED PLINTH BASE.
