This pair of Victorian mahogany D end dining tables stand on turned legs with brass castors. The ever-practical Victorians designed these tables so that they could be parted and put against a wall so they become dual purpose - either put together to use as a dining table or separated against the wall for side tables.

Magnificent William IV Flame Mahogany Tilt Top Centre Table

A magnificent William IV mahogany round tilt top centre table. The top is veneered in flame mahogany and segmented in such a way that shows the pattern in superb style. It is supported by an octagonal central pillar which stands on a round base, which in turn sits on three lion paw feet. There is some splitting to the veneer on the round base which can be seen in the accompanying images (please double click the main photograph), however this is in keeping with the age of the table and does not detract from the overall beauty of the table. C1830 William IV period stunning solid mahogany elegant centre pedestal sofa/dining table with excellent size and proportions.

Circa 1830 stunning William IV period solid (not veneered) mahogany very versatile table with two drop leaves, one false plus one working frieze drawer, standing on a superb spiral twist turned pedestal with four carved and splayed legs and original fluted brass capped feet and castors. Size is 41 inches wide by 52 inches long when open, and about 24 inches when flaps are down. Height is 28.5 inches. It is a superb size for dining, with the centre pedestal causing no interference with chairs and legs. It also makes a wonderful sofa table. An excellent example of the period, in excellent condition, with wonderful colour, ready to use in any room.

The piece stands on a beautiful turned pedestal, has a quadriform base with beautiful turned feet, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. The piece has a shaped moulded top above four scrolled moulded legs with original brass casters, shaped brackets (a couple of minor old repairs) and the lower tier has beautiful fretwork carved sides.
