| 19th century gorgeous mahogany double tea caddy with satinwood and olivewood fan inlay to corners and centre. Also with ebony diamond shaped inlay to centre of inner lid.
The interior includes two tea caddies with mirror image flame pattern mahogany to tops, and the original glass mixing bowl inbetween, with pedestal foot.
This came from a large country home in West Sussex, UK, and was in the vendor's family since new.
Size-12 inches by 6.25 inches by 6.1 inches high.
Beautifully crafted caddy, which would have been very expensive when new.

The rising lid opens to a vacant compartment. While the lid is raised, the drawer is able to open, revealing another vacant compartment. The sections are unlined, but can be lined if desired.
The fittings are all brass including a vacant cartouche, side handles, drawer handle and knob.
The box top has a moulded edge, and the whole stands on moulded pedestal feet.
Size-19.25 inches by 11.75 inches by 8 inches high.

This beautiful antique William IV flamed mahogany work box has a rectangular lift up lid and the interior has several compartments, a removable tray and pin cushion. The piece has a deep frieze, pull out work basket with a blue paper lining and has been recently covered in a rich dark green damask fabric. The piece stands on an octagonal pedestal with a quadriform base, beautiful turned feet, is a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
