Offered for sale is fine quality set of six Victorian mahogany balloon back dining chairs in excellent condition. The chairs are a lovely rich mellow mahogany colour. The set of six mahogany balloon back chairs have a shaped back rail above a carved centre rail with newly reupholstered Trafalgar seats on ring turned supports. The set of six balloon back chairs are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned, revived and waxed along with the seats reupholstered in a gold John Lewis fabric.

The chairs have moulded fronts, are a rich red mahogany colour, have a couple of minor old repairs. At some stage the chairs have been re polished and upholstered and so are in very good condition. Set of Six Mahogany Balloon Back Dining Chairs 1860 This beautiful antique set of six mahogany balloon back dining chairs have shaped backs with tulip carved back stretchers. The chairs have splayed back legs, beautifully turned front legs and upholstered seats with matching braid trim. The set has a few old minor repairs, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Offered for sale is fine quality set of eight Victorian balloon back dining chairs in exceptionally good condition. The chairs are a lovely rich brown mellow mahogany / walnut colour. The set of eight mahogany balloon back chairs have a shaped back rail above a carved and pierced centre splat with newly reupholstered overstuffed seats on carved cabriole supports with scroll feet. The balloon back chairs are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned, revived and waxed along with the seats reupholstered in a gold John Lewis fabric. Whilst listed as mahogany I think they are walnut but will go equally well with either mahogany or walnut. They have a makers brass plate to the underside - GM & HJ Story, Cabinet Makers, London.
