| 20th century complete 144 piece dovetailed bone and bamboo tile Chinese mah jong set encased in red lacquered gilt embellished box with decoration of dragon and phoenix, and brass carrying handles.
Also includes counting sticks and dice.
Appears to have never been used.
Size-case exterior 13.5 inches long by 9.25 inches deep by 2.25 inches high.
Tiles-1.25 inches by .75 inches by .50 inches approximately.
A great set in excellent condition, to give as a gift to the enthusiast, or to keep.

1930's bakelite mah jong set in hand painted lacquered box |
| 1930's complete mah jong set including 144 bakelite tiles, bone counting sticks, bakelite dice and instruction booklet in lovely hand painted lacquered box.
Box top lifts off to display set. It is embellished both on top and bottom with birds and flowers. It is very unusual.
In very good condition, this is a lovely complete set.

Cover slides off to reveal drawers enclosing 144 bamboo tiles and dice.
A very enjoyable game to play, in a lovely box to display.
