Lowestoft
A RARE Lowestoft teabowl, after Worcester |
| This is DEFINATELY NOT a Worcester piece, as we can tell by the more inky blue/ naieve painting. It is a realy interesting example, and in RARE PERFECT CONDITION. Also, the hatched crescent mark is not quite the same as Worcester. |
DELIGHTFULL Lowestoft teabowl & saucer. |
| This example is nice and clearly painted, and is a very good complete piece for the modest collector of Lowestoft. There has been a piece re-stuck into the rim of the teabowl, and there is a very small hairline in the rim of the saucer. I think this would be £250 or so if nearer perfect. |
A Lowsetoft sauceboat, after Worcester.C.1775 |
| Lovely crisp moulding on this interesting example. It is a direct copy of a Worcester one from C.1770. However, the painting is more naive, and it is typical Lowestoft. Also, the hatched crescent mark is not quite the same as Worcester. It is in nice condition for Lowestoft, with just a short crack as per photo. No other damage or restoration. |
EXTREMELY RARE Lowestoft TULIP PAINTER cup |
| This is a HIGHLY DESIRABLE cup, as it is painted by the VERY SOUGHT after TULIP PAINTER at Lowestoft. See the little Tulip at the far left. Also, the whole style of painting is him. I have seen this on a coffeepot, and a teapot. There are 2 cracks, but it would be a megaprice if in fine condition. |
VERY GOOD Lowestoft sparrowbeak jug |
| A MOST UNUSUALY painted jug with that funny little design at the rim/beak. In SUPERB CONDITION again, with just a tiny tiny chip to rim. |
VERY GOOD Lowestoft sparrowbeak jug |
| This pieces is a richly painted example, and in SUPERB CONDITION, with only typical slight staining at the rim. |

A FABULOUS little Lowestoft jug, C.1775. |
| A FABULOUS little Lowestoft jug, C.1775. ALMOST PERFECT CONDITION, with no chips, cracks or restorations. Just a little bit of staining to the spout, and a bit of fritting to the base rim. This is typical of what is found on almost all of Lowestoft, and is mentioned for 100% accuracy. Please see Item number: 130080823491 on ebay, where an almost identical Lowestoft jug was sold for £1,271 on 25th Feb. My jug has the charming little 'kick' to the base of the handle, and so it is a better example, because only Lowestoft did this, and it obviously establishes my jug to be Lowestoft. |
A LOVELY ? factory basket. |
| A GOOD SIZED ? factory basket. Size:- 9ins across from handle to handle. Note the workman's mark, which makes this a VERY INTERESTING piece. EXCELLENT CONDITION, with only professional restoration to one handle, so obviously, someone must have rated it. No other chips, cracks or restoration. |
