Victorian mahogany chaise longue A beautiful example of a Victorian mahogany chaise longue, photographed prior to workshop time, the ornate frame is in lovely condition standing on turned legs with original white porcelain casters, the beautifully scrolling arm and back add to the overall "look" of this wonderful chaise. The whole will be stripped to a bare frame, thoroughly checked and clamped as necessary, traditionally french polished and waxed prior to being re upholstered, it will be finished in the same manner as it is now upholstered with deep buttoned arm and back. Gillows Mahogany Chaise Longue / Day bed ca 1835 This beautiful William IV mahogany chaise longue / day bed has been constructed in the style and quality of Gillows. The piece has a scrolled end with bolster cushion and a deep buttoned back. The piece has a moulded edge with beautiful scrolled carving, stands on four beautiful turned carved legs with brass castors, has been newly upholstered in a pale sage green / cream neutral fabric with a stud trim and the back has been finished enabling the piece to be positioned anywhere in a room. The piece is a very good length at six foot six inches, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. VICTORIAN CHAISE LONGUE AND CHAIR. THIS IS A STEEL FRAMED CHAISE AND CHAIR THEREFORE THEY ARE BOTH HAND STITCHED. THE CHAISE STANDS ON TURNED MAHOGANY LEGS WITH BRASS CUP AND PORCELAIN CASTERS. THIS IS AN OUTSWEPT BUTTON BACKED CHAISE. THE BUTTON BACK CHAIR HAS TURNED FRONT LEGS WITH BRASS CUP AND CASTERS AND OUTSWEPT BACK LEGS. THEY HAVE BOTH BEEN NEWLY UPHOLSTERED IN A RICH DEEP PURPLE/BURGUNDY FABRIC, WITH A HINT OF GOLDEN DESIGN RUNNING THRU IT.

Left handed chaise

Mid nineteenth century mahogany framed chaise longue with carved, moulded and pierced scrolling back and rest. Standing on elegant moulded cabriole legs. Original French polish finish and recently fully reupholstered in the traditional method. Dated to around 1850 and measuring 188cm long by 70 cm deep and 76cm high.

This is a lovely late Victorian mahogany chaise longue covered with an olive green dralon. It is left handed with turned spindles supporting the padded rail, carved detail on the back support and stands on turned legs with brass castors. It is elegant in it's simplicity. H 29", W 26", L 67"
