Huge Inlaid Mahogany Library Bookcase ca 1870 This beautiful huge antique inlaid mahogany library bookcase has an inverted breakfront centre and a moulded cornice above a deep frieze and five astragal glazed doors with brass key escutcheon, key and working lock. Each interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has an inverted breakfront moulded top above five doors with beautiful inlaid panels and moulded edges, brass key escutcheons, key and working locks. Each interior has one removable shelf and the piece stands on a moulded plinth, has some replacement back boards and magnificent inlaid sections using exotic woods. This is a rare opportunity to own such a magnificent bookcase of unusually good sized proportions. The piece splits into nine sections, is a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Victorian Mahogany Breakfront Library Bookcase ca 1870 This beautiful antique Victorian mahogany breakfront library bookcase has a moulded cornice above a deep frieze and three arched glazed panels, the central panel being fixed. The two outer doors have glass knobs, key, working lock, turned corbels and the interior has three fixed shelves. The lower section has a breakfront moulded top above three shaped frieze drawers, a fixed central panel and two outer doors with raised arched panels. The two outer doors have glass knobs, key, working lock and the interior has one fixed shelf. The piece has beautiful turned columns, stands on shaped bracket feet, has original backboards, splits into two sections for ease of removals, is a rich red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Inlaid MAHOGANY library bookcase C1900. This quality bookcase has traditional 13 pane astragal glazing bars and is inlaid with cross banded satinwood. The brass handles and fittings are original. It has been cleaned and wax polished retaining the original patination. The swan necked pediment above the cornice moulding can easily be removed to reduce the height by 10". Overall Height 99" x 45" wide

Victorian Oak (Holland & Sons) Library Bookcase ca 1880 This beautiful Victorian oak Arts & Crafts library bookcase is stamped by the renowned maker Holland & Sons. The piece has a moulded cornice above three glazed doors with moulded edges and each interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above three cupboard doors with beautiful carved panels. The left and central interiors each have one adjustable shelf and the right interior has six oak lined drawers with brass pull handles. All the edges have been ebonised, and the piece splits into three sections for ease of removals, is a medium oak colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. Each glazed interior has three removable replacement shelves with mahogany beading. The lower section has a breakfront top above eight cupboard doors with brass key escutcheons and working locks. Each interior has one removable shelf and the piece stands on a plain breakfront plinth. The sides have been later adjusted and the piece has a few character marks due to age and use.
